Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, I actually grew up without any pets of my own. This did not stop my love for animals though! I've always known I wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. I attended McNeese State University studying agricultural science for three years before getting accepted into LSU Vet School. During my four years of veterinary school, I realized I had a special interest in emergency medicine. After graduating, I decided to move to South Carolina and practice at a 24-hour emergency hospital. I spent three years there, learning and growing as a veterinarian. Afterwards, my husband and I decided to move back home to be closer to family and friends. Soon after moving home I discovered Gill Bright Animal Hospital. I was impressed with the quality of care and the friendliness of the doctors and staff. It was an easy decision to start a new journey in veterinary medicine working at Gill Bright!
Some of my professional interests include ultrasound, surgery, and emergency medicine. I am also very passionate about geriatric patients and the care they deserve! When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, gardening, and visiting with friends and family.
